Apple Cider Vinegar and Skin Tags Removal - It can be gone in Just one week

What can apple cider vinegar and skin tags possibly have in common? As weird as it may sound, apple cider vinegar, acv, is an effective and natural removal remedy. ACV doesn’t just work, it works fast. How fast you might ask? How about as short as one week? Yes, apple cider vinegar is capable of removing a skin tag in as little as just one week.

Why use apple cider vinegar

what's behind apple cider vinegar and skin tagsWhat is it that makes apple cider vinegar, of all things, work for removing unwanted skin tags? Why would you even bother to use it in place of a “medication” designed specifically for skin tags?

Let’s start off with what makes acv work, or rather how it works. First, acv is highly acidic. If you paid attention in chemistry class then you would do what acid does. It will break things down (dissolve things). This is exactly how it works when you apply apple cider vinegar to skin tags correctly. It slowly, but surely breaks down the excess skin growth, that is the skin tag.

Wait, slow? Did I just say slow? Didn’t I say it worked pretty fast at removing skin tags? Yes, it does indeed work fast at removing skin tags (compared to weeks and even months with some other popular remedies). However, it slowly breaks it down because it isn’t instant poof! It takes prolonged exposure to the acv to break down and kill the excess skin growth, the skin tag.

With the how out of the way, let’s talk about the why. Why use apple cider vinegar to remove skin tags instead of something you can buy right off the shelf at your local pharmacy (or even online)? One main reason some people opt for acv is because it is all natural. Ok, a lot of skin tag removal products out there claim to be all natural too, so that might not be the best reason for you.

Another reason is cost. ACV is cheap to buy compared to some of the products out there and even ingredients used in other common skin tag remedies. You can buy a bottle of organic, unfiltered, apple cider vinegar (which is exactly what you will need to buy to get the desired results) for a low as about three dollars for a bottle. That’s cheap. Of course, you will need other things for the remedy (which I cover in greater detail below), but they’re still quite cheap and can be found easily.

The most important reason of all is, in my opinion, the speed. It’s quite fast compared to many other options available. Sure there are a few treatments that are way faster, but it is much faster than average treatments and remedies. In fact, the only thing faster is this product and cutting done by a medical professional.

What you will need

You will be needing a few extra items if you’re planning to use acv to get rid of your skin tags. The items are simple, but they are necessary to make the remedy work for you. Here’s what you’ll be needing:

You can usually find all of these items at your local super store (starts with a T, or a W), but you can also order all of them and have them conveniently shipped to your front door from Amazon.

Regardless of where you buy your stuff, you’ll want to make sure the apple cider vinegar you buy is unfiltered. The organic is preferred, but it is still optional. The only thing that is absolutely necessary is that it is unfiltered. The exact science behind why isn’t really know, but I do know that from personal experience, it just doesn’t work as well.

How to use apple cider vinegar to remove skin tags

Using acv to remove skin tags is fairly simple. All you need to do is soak a cotton ball with acv and squeeze out excess vinegar. Place the acv soaked cotton ball over the skin tag and then tape it in place using a piece of water proof first aid tape.

There isn’t much more to the method than that. You’ll probably want to adjust the size of the cotton ball to be suitable for the skin tag. Use your fingers to pick off bits and pieces until what remains is the right size.

Leave the treatment on for a few hours without washing or disturbing the area. Preferably, you’ll want to leave it on over night but if you can’t then leave it on for at least a few hours. If this is the case for you, make sure to apply the treatment again as soon as you get another chance to put it on.

You'll also want to keep an eye out for some common problems that can come up when using acv (including burning). I won't cover all of them here, but you can read more about acv risks with skin tags here.

That’s really all there is to using acv to remove skin tags. Now you know exactly what apple cider vinegar and skin tags has to do with each other; and that is a fast way to get rid of unwanted skin tags.
